Process

What actually happens when you hire us

The whole engagement, step by step — including what you provide and what we deliver at each stage. No mystery, no “trust the process” hand-waving.

  1. 01

    Discovery

    Typical duration: 1 week

A focused call (or two) to understand your business, your audience, and what a successful outcome actually looks like. No charge, no obligation — this is where we both find out if the fit is right.

    You provide
An hour of your time; access to any existing site or analytics.
    We deliver
A clear read-back of the problem and a recommendation — even if it isn’t us.
  2. 02

    Proposal & scope

    Typical duration: 3–5 days

A written proposal with a fixed scope, a fixed price, and a real timeline. Everything the project includes is itemized; anything it doesn’t include is explicitly out of scope, so nothing surprises anyone later.

    You provide
Feedback and sign-off on the scope.
    We deliver
The scope document, price, timeline, and payment schedule in writing.
  3. 03

    Design

    Typical duration: 1–3 weeks

We design the interface around your visitors and your conversion goals — reviewed with you at a direction stage first, so no one polishes the wrong idea. You see and approve the design before development begins.

    You provide
Brand assets, content sources, timely feedback at two review points.
    We deliver
A complete, responsive design system and page set, approved by you.
  4. 04

    Development

    Typical duration: 2–6 weeks

The build happens in weekly increments, each deployed to a private preview URL you can open on any device. You watch the site come together and course-correct early — not at the end.

    You provide
Weekly feedback (15 minutes is usually enough).
    We deliver
A working preview every week and a running changelog of what landed.
  5. 05

    Testing & QA

    Typical duration: 3–5 days

Cross-browser and cross-device passes, accessibility verification against WCAG 2.1 AA, performance validation against Core Web Vitals targets, and end-to-end tests on every critical flow.

    You provide
A final content check — you know your business best.
    We deliver
A documented QA report: what was tested, on what, with what result.
  6. 06

    Launch

    Typical duration: 1–2 days

DNS, SSL, redirects from any old URLs, search-engine submission, and monitoring — handled end to end, scheduled for a low-traffic window, with a rollback plan we’ve never yet needed.

    You provide
    Domain registrar access (or delegation).
    We deliver
The live site, verified analytics, and a documented handover.
  7. 07

    Post-launch support

    Typical duration: 30 days included

Every project includes a 30-day window for fixes and small adjustments at no charge. After that, most clients move to a maintenance retainer — or take the documented handover to their own team. Either is fine.

    You provide
Anything you notice — nothing is too small to flag.
    We deliver
Fast fixes, and an honest recommendation on ongoing care.

Communication & tools

Most agency frustration is communication frustration. Ours is deliberately simple:

  • One channel

A shared channel (email or Slack) where both founders see every message.

  • Weekly rhythm

A short written update every Friday: what shipped, what’s next, what we need.

  • Calls when useful

Scheduled calls at review points — not recurring meetings for their own sake.

See what we build or start with a discovery call.
